This has taken form as collaborations on projects or through forming a coalition of sorts, based on mutual interest and moral intent. Asociacion para la Conservacion de la Cuenca Amazonica, Cusco, Peru ACCA works in two locations in Peru, with a Bolivia office and a sister organization in Washington, D.C. advancing Amazon rainforest conservation through scientific research, education, community engagement. Integral Without Borders is a community of practitioners in sustainable development, who are learning and applying Integral Theory to their work. Founded by volunteers in Integral Institute initially, now IWB operates in partnership with Drishti and "Integral Mentors," an initiative by Paul van Schaik in Italy. At the outset, we sought to galvanize a community of integral practitioners through holding global meetings. The first global meeting was in Perpignan, France and the second Istanbul, Turkey, and we hope to hold IWB 3 at some point this year or next. These are great gatherings to share ideas, learn the latest theory and praxis, network and have a conscious raising time. Gai Hochachka and Sandra Thomson are the Drishti associates most involved in organizing and facilitating these global meetings, the first of which was supported by Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC). You can also get involved in the social networking website (see link above), participate in the integral mentoring group (contact Paul van Schaik < This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it >), and definitely watch for IWB 3,... coming soon. This organization contributes to community development in all the health regions of British Columbia, Canada through its facilitators work to build capacity on healthy communities. BCHC uses the Four Quadrants of Integral Theory to frame its approach to healthy communities. Drishti has been involved in training, curriculum development, and evaluation and monitoring design.
